Day 2-Gualeceo/Chordeleg
Gualaceo is one of the most important areas in folkloric and artisan tradition in the country. Here ponchos are weaved, shawls are embroidered, furniture, leather goods are made.
A tradition that stands out is its typical food, such us guinea pig, tamales, oven-baked breads and pastires, rosero (a special drink with fruits), etc.
Trip to Gualaceo, visit the artisans on the way to the town, to actually see how they weave the famous “Ikat” shawls, scarfs, ponchos, etc.
Visit the Gualaceo downtown area and market.

Chordeleg
The museum of the comunity of chordeleg presents us examples of a brilliant culture that was distinguished in works of gold and pottery. This village has the special characteristic of having achieved a great development in gold and silver working, being famous for its ornamental works.
Visit the Plaza in Chordeleg, walk to artisan’s stores.
Lunch at “Hosteria Uzhupud” , visit a real hacienda, and explore this wonderful place, enjoy a gourmet experience, walk the beautiful gardens, take a steam “eucaliptus” bath. Relax on this magnificent location, full of flowers and charm.
Trip to Cuenca
Cocktail at Casa Ordonez, before departing to have a typical dinner in town.
